Reimagining Motor Insurance with Technology and Trust<\/span><\/h1>\n

Magellan is a new UK-based motor insurance group transforming how car insurance works. By using advanced technology, we make insurance fairer, safer, and more affordable, especially for responsible drivers in underserved communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our mission is to make insurance pricing behaviour-based rather than postcode-driven. We begin our rollout in Greater Manchester in 2025 and will expand across other major UK cities from 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yvette, is a former Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of a motor insurance startup. While at that company, she spearheaded strategy, operations, fundraising, business development, and navigated the regulatory landscape for a Managing General Agent (MGA).<\/p>\n

With a background in investment banking, Yvette has worked in both corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. She was part of the Technology M&A team at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs. She was also a Co-founder & Director of Calvert Percival Executive Search, a boutique financial services executive search firm. Her leadership, management expertise, and strategic vision will help to transform Magellan from an early stage, startup to a national UK motor insurance\u00a0brand.<\/p>\n

His career includes roles at Zurich Insurance, Highway Insurance, and Lloyd\u2019s syndicates, covering product management, data science, and demand modeling. Prior to his parliamentary career, he was a consultant at Deloitte and later Head of Strategy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He brings over 25 years\u2019 experience in politics and business. Paul served as a UK Government Minister across four departments, including as Minister for London and Minister for Tech and the Digital Economy. He played a key role in developing the UK\u2019s AI strategy, led the launch of the Online Safety Act, and supported small businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic.
